The Year of the Caregiver

The Empowerment Network will shine a light on the caregivers, doctors, and healthcare workers who have walked this journey with our most vulnerable population. We will tell their stories, celebrate their sacrifices, and say with full hearts, "Thank You." Mark your calendars and celebrate this milestone:

  • 18 Years of Standing with Survivors

  • 18 Years of Supporting Families

Welcome to The Empowerment Center's 17th Anniversary Gala.

Celebrating 17 years of saving lives and restoring hope, The Empowerment Network, Inc. hosted the Prostate Cancer Awareness Jazz Luncheon on Saturday, September 27, at the Orlando Gardens Event Center. This event, held during National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, featured Rene Knott, former morning news anchor on "Today in St. Louis," as the emcee. Knott shared a heartfelt story about his father's battle with prostate cancer, while keynote speaker Mitch Baden, President & CEO of Royal Banks of Missouri, delivered an emotional talk about his own journey with colon cancer. The soothing sounds of saxophonist Gerry Huggins added a touch of elegance to the afternoon.

Themed “2.5 Daddy - Stay Alive in 2025,” the luncheon shed light on the critical health disparities faced by African Americans, who are 2.5 times more likely to succumb to certain diseases. This theme underscores the importance of health education and the goal of achieving a PSA test score of no higher than 2.5. By fostering awareness and empowering individuals to take charge of their health, the event aimed to inspire a collective effort toward a healthier, more equitable future.

In addition to raising awareness, the luncheon also supported a vital cause. A portion of the proceeds was donated to relief efforts for the devastating tornado that struck parts of St. Louis on May 16, 2025. This act of generosity reflects the community's commitment to not only improving health outcomes but also providing hope and support to those in need. Together, we can build a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Celebrating 16 Years of Empowering Lives

This year, we’re thrilled to mark the 16th anniversary of Empowerment Network. What started as a mission to inspire and uplift has grown into a thriving community dedicated to education, opportunity, and transformation.

Through the years, we’ve worked together to support learners, foster growth, and build brighter futures. From educational programs to community initiatives, we’ve been proud to stand alongside every individual striving to create change in their lives and communities.

This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without YOU. Your support, commitment, and belief in our mission have been the foundation of our success.

Here’s to celebrating this achievement together and to continuing our shared mission of empowering every individual through education and opportunity. The best is yet to come!

Thank you for being part of this incredible 16-year journey.

Welcome to The Empowerment Center's 15th Anniversary Gala.

The traditional 15th anniversary gift is crystal, an enduring material that symbolizes the lightness, clarity and durability of your love. The modern gift is a timepiece representing the many hours and minutes dedicated to someone or something. Crystals are arranged in a highly ordered repeating pattern called systems.

The Empowerment Network, Inc. has a repeating pattern of helping men impacted by prostate cancer through endless love and support.

The Empowerment Network, Inc. (TEN) has been blessed to serve the St. Louis region since 2008. In September 2023, we will celebrate 15 years of making dreams the reality of “Saving Lives”. We have 15 years of crystal-clear evidence and a population of cancer survivors to support it.

Crystal clear means we embraced the science, the research, the medicine, the treatment and the genetics of prostate cancer leading to longer lives for our survivors. Crystal clear means our approach and messaging is completely transparent, simple and easy to understand. We are crystal clear that getting tested for prostate cancer “Saves Lives” and families.
